These terms apply to the hosting plans, domains and other services you order from Bytelegion through bytelegion.site or our client area. By placing an order you accept them. We wrote them to be read: if something is unclear, ask us before you buy.
Who we are
The services are provided by Bytelegion OÜ, registry code 16905507, Männimäe/1, Pudisoo küla, Kuusalu vald, Harju maakond, 74626 Estonia. You can reach us at info@bytelegion.site or through a ticket in the client area (clients.bytelegion.site).
The services
Each plan includes what is listed on the hosting page and in the order form at the time of purchase: storage, monthly traffic, email addresses, backups, SSL and, where stated, a domain and security updates.
We keep the servers, the software we install and the backups running. The content of your website, its plugins and themes, and the data you or your visitors put on it remain yours and under your responsibility, except for the work we explicitly do for you.
Billing and renewal
Plans are paid in advance for the billing period you choose, usually one year, and renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown in your client area.
We issue the renewal invoice 21 days before the due date and send reminders before it falls due. If you have saved a card or a payment method, it is charged on the due date; if the payment fails we retry for up to two weeks and let you know by email.
Prices are in the currency shown at checkout. Any taxes due are added where the law requires it.
Cancellation
You can cancel a service at any time from the client area (open the service and choose “Request cancellation”) or by writing to us. To stop the next renewal, the request must reach us at least 15 days before the due date of the service.
If you cancel in time, the service stays active until the end of the period you have already paid and is then closed, together with its data.
If the request arrives later, the renewal invoice has already been issued and stays due: the service remains available for the new period you have paid and will not renew after it.
Refunds
Payments for a period that has already started are not refundable, including renewals charged because a cancellation arrived less than 15 days before the due date. Domain registrations and renewals cannot be refunded once they have been sent to the registry.
If you are a consumer in the European Union you can withdraw from a new order within 14 days. If you asked us to start the service straight away, we refund the price minus the part of the service already provided and any domain already registered.
If we cannot provide a service you paid for, or we close it for reasons that do not depend on you, we refund the unused part of the period.
Late payment
If an invoice is still unpaid 15 days after its due date the service is suspended: the website and email stop working until the invoice is paid. After 60 days it is terminated and its files, databases and mailboxes are deleted from the server.
If you have a problem paying, write to us before then and we will find a solution.
Domains
Domains are registered through an accredited registrar in your name and with your contact details, which must be correct and kept up to date. The rules of the registry for each extension also apply.
A domain included in a plan is renewed together with the plan. If you cancel the plan, you can transfer the domain to another provider or renew it on its own at the normal price; if you do neither, it expires.
Backups and your data
We take regular backups and restore them on request, but they are a safety net, not an archive: keep your own copy of anything important.
When a service is closed, its data are deleted from the server. Copies may remain in our backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.
Acceptable use
You may not use the services for anything illegal or harmful: malware, phishing, spam, content that infringes other people's rights, attacks on other systems, cryptocurrency mining, or a use of resources that slows down the other sites on the server.
If a site is compromised or breaks these rules we may suspend it, with notice when possible, to protect you, your visitors and the other customers. We help you clean it and bring it back online.
Availability and support
We work to keep the services online and fix problems quickly, but no server is online every second: planned maintenance and incidents can cause short interruptions. Support is provided by email and through tickets in the client area.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service in the twelve months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data you could have saved yourself.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer protection law gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, for changes that affect active services, tell you by email at least 30 days before they apply. Changes apply from your next renewal; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can go to its courts. Before anything else, write to us: most problems are solved with an email.
